Tennis anyone?
It is not too late to sign up for the new Rappahannock County 4-H Tennis Club. Members must be 6th to 12th graders. Twice each month , lessons will be held at the tennis courts at the Recreation Park outside of Washington on Rte 211. The next lesson will be on April 16 from 4-6 p.m. Participants should bring a tennis racket, snack, and water bottle and wear clothing appropriate to the weather and playing tennis. Former tennis pro, Hunt Harris, is the head coach of this dub. Exchange student Abdullah AJawadhi’s love of tennis stimulated him to help initiate this dub after discovering our county did not have the sport of tennis offered at the public schools. He hopes, by having a 4-H Tennis Club for the students of Rappahannock, enough interest will be spurred to someday have a competitive tennis team at the high school. If you need more information, please call Abdullah at (540) 937-5718 or Jenny Kapsa, the 4-H Coordinator, at (540) 675-3619.
