was on hand at the Farm-toTable Team meeting on March 13 to deliver a check for $7,500 to Headwaters Executive Director Cole Johnson. While there, Chris and other team members helped to finish off some leftover Arugula Potato Soup that had been served to students earlier that day as part of the Farm-to-Cafeteria project (see photo). Headwaters and the Rappahannock County Public Schools are very grateful to the Rappahannock County Farm Bureau for its steadfast and generous support of this important program that helps to reinforce the ethic of preservation among county youth. Community support for Farm-to-Table continues to build. The Rappahannock County Garden Club recently made a generous gift; to help finish the installation of the courtyard garden at Rappahannock County Elementary School (RCES). The donation will pay for pruning the trees in the courtyard,' grinding the tree stumps of the four trees that were removed, and purchasing native plants for riparian area development. Garden Club members will continue to help with garden design, plant selection, and fund raising ideas. The Young Farmland Fund, which finances all operating costs of the Farmto-Table program at RCES, is also providing support for the garden. '
