Panthers softball begins
four-game home stand

After playing six road games during its first seven contests of the season, Rappahannock County’s softball team can look forward to some time at home.
The Panthers (4-4) began a four-game home stand with a 10-3 loss to Page County in bitterly cold temperatures on April 5.
Rappahannock also lost its prior game against Highland School on March 31 in the final weekend of the Fauquier Bash Tournament. The Panthers finished 2-2 in the two-weekend tournament, which placed them against Group AA and AAA schools.
Rappahannock will try to shake off the losses Friday, when they begin the Bull Run District portion of the season against George Mason at the softball field behind Rappahannock Elementary School. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
