Steven Kenny, one of Rappahannock County’s most noted fine artists, has donated an original painting for auction at Headwaters’ 10th Anniversary Taste of Rappahannock on Sept. 8.

The painting, titled “The Birdcage,” was created by Kenny especially for The Taste fundraising event.

“Denise Chandler, chair of The Taste auction committee, first approached me with the idea,” Kenny said “I have long wanted to participate with Headwaters programs, but with the busy professional schedule that I keep, it’s been hard to do. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to support the fine work that the Headwaters Foundation sponsors on behalf of our students. The education of our children is so important to our future. I am happy to be able to help out in this way.”
