Hampton District Commissioner Alvin Henry - who in June criticized citizens for using a non-public meeting to influence the process of the Smiths’ zoning amendment - weighed in again on July 18.
“I apologize and Fm embarrassed for seeing you put through all this,” Henry said.
Robert Weinberg, the Board of Zoning Appeals representative on the Planning Commission, said he thought the Smith’s second attempt at a zoning amendment was an improvement over the original.
The commissioners unanimously recommended that the BZA approve the Smiths’ special-use permit for auto sales.
