Fletcher’s idea
Bill Fletcher was at the Planning Commission’s meeting with similar questions about his property, which is across F.T. Valley Road from Montpelier.
Fletcher has fixed up the Miller House, which dates back to 1912, and he is thinking of turning it into a private hunt club.
“This county’s going to have to attach tourist dollars to the larger farms or they are going to be split up,” he said.
McCarthy said Fletcher’s idea is a bit more complex than the Scrutons' plan for Montpelier, because a hunt club would have accommodations.
