Fauquier Hospital
Fauquier Hospital is an 86bed acute care hospital serving this rural and suburban community.
Established in 1954 by a. group of community volunteers, Fauquier Hospital is a not-forprofit community hospital fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. It remains independently operated, and governed by a volunteer board of trustees.
As the only hospital in the county, Fauquier Hospital provides a full array of innovative diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Patient care areas include two medicalsurgical nursing units, an intensive care unit 1CC-CCU, Family Birthing Center, Five-room surgical suite, plus emergency, outpatient special procedures, cardio-pulmonary, interventional radiology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and medical imaging and diagnostics departments.
From its hilltop campus, Faqquier Hospital is the central hub of medical care in the area. The present facility was built in 1957 and has grown with several expansion projects, the most recent being the current $50 £1 million dollar, hospital-wide renovation, which began in 2003.
