Janet Kerig's Arts and Crafts Camp
Scheduled for Aug. 6-10; Aug 13-17; Aug 20 - 24; Aug 27 - 31 at the Rappahannock Recreation Park Washington, Va. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - Friday. Spend a week working on unique projects with professional artist Janet Kerig. The emphasis is on creativity, fun, games and the great outdoors. The multi-media experience includes: basket weaving, paper making, tie-dye, watercolor painting, bead work and jewelry making, art from nature, beeswax candle making, plus drumming, movement, nature walks and tennis .For children 6 -12. Teen volunteers earn community service points. Tuition per week is $160, second sibling $60. Janet Kerig director has a BA from University of Maryland and 20 years teaching experience including Glen Echo National Park, Montessori, Hearthstone, Wakefield, The Farm School, Rappahannock H.S and Elementary and Middle Street Gallery. Throughout the month of July, Gray Ghost is hosting a food drive to benefit the Culpeper Food Closet.
