“It is symbolic that the woman is holding the open cage close to her heart,” Kenny said. “The message she is conveying is one of openness and a release of her inner self. I hope that the simplicity of the painting and the universality of the message will draw a strong response from those attending The Taste. It’s all for the good of the kids.”
Kenny has been a resident of Rappahannock County since 1997, moving from New York City where he was a highly successful commercial illustrator.
