from Shenandoah University. She has served as a seventh grade math teacher and Instructional Team Leader in Madison County, and also taught for 12 years in Augusta County in grades 4 and 5.
Jones was selected from a pool of 10 applicants. A team of teachers and administrators at RCES ranked Jones as their top choice of two finalists recommended to the superintendent.
The School Board’s twomember Personnel Committee met with Chappell and Assistant Superintendent Becky Greer to interview the finalists. This team unanimously endorsed the schoollevel team’s selection of Jones.
