New RAWL Service

The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL) announces a new service to greatly reduce the cost of spaying or neutering your pet. RAWL has teamed with the Shenandoah Valley Spay and Neuter Clinic, which will provide a van to transport animals to its Harrisonburg facility

The trip will be conducted once each month. The RAWL board and staff are thrilled to be able to sharply cut costs to pet owners. The first trip will be in August. Watch this space for details in coming weeks, or call the shelter at 540-9373283, between 8 a. m. and 1 p. m. seven days a week.

Old Time Music Jam

Take down your fiddle and pick up your bow. Friends of Old Time Music have started an informal jam session on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall. Old time music is sometimes called Traditional or Appalachian Folk music that was played by mountain families. Players with an interest are welcome.
