Ability to instruct/supervise unskilled inmates in preparation & cooking of meals for inmates confined within the Adult Detention Center; cleaning kitchen after all meals served; insure all meals served at scheduled times, and in compliance with standards set by VA Dept of Corrections for food service, The National Academy of Sciences dietary requirements, and follow menus prepared by a certified dietician; ability to work in secure environment within tne detention center; and rotating work schedule with 12-hour work days. High School Diploma and two years job related experience, preferably in preparation of food service. Must be CPR & First Aid certified within first week of employment; within first year of employment, obtain the food "ServSafeCertification".
