Born in Geneva, Switzerland, master etcher Viviane de Kosinsky received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in Illustration and an MA in Printmaking at the Villa Schifanoia Graduate School of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy. In 1986 she studied at the International Graphics Institute in Venice, and from 1987 to 1992 she lived in London, employed by the Anthony d'Offav Gallery as Personal Assistant to the Chairman. Her studio and printing press in Old Town, Alexandria overlook the Potomac River.

The artist has an extensive exhibition history which began in 1988 when she was included in an exhibition at the Royal Society of Etchers, in London. She has since had 5 oneperson exhibitions and appeared in a dozen group showings. She has also garnered 13 awards for her works in the United States and Canada.

This exhibition is a continuation of the dedication of R.H.Ballard Art. Rug & Home to present the very best in local, regional and international fine art. The gallery is open from 10am - 6pm daily.
