Seeking shelter?
Someone broke into a vacant rental house near Chester Gap last week, but did not steal or damage anything inside the house.
The breaking and entering was reported around &30 a m on Oct 16 on Zachary Taylor Highway. The front door of the house had been kicked in and deputies from the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office found a shoe print in the house
Sheriff Larry Sherertz said it appears the perpetrator was seeking food and shelter The RCSO is still investigating the incident.
