The Kid’s Konnection Choir will perform at Washington Baptist Church this Sunday.

The Kids’ Konnection Choir from Southeast Washington, D. C. will be singing this Sunday, Oct. 28 at the 11 a.m. worship service at Washington Baptist Church. Everyone is invited to attend. Washington Baptist Church has had a strong relationship with this inner-city ministry for over four years. Co-founded by Pastor Steve and Theresa Mullen, Kids’ Konnection ministers to 1,500 children a week from DC public housing projects meeting a variety of the children’s needs. Some of the specific services and programs they provide are Sidewalk Sunday School, Summer Camp, Back to School supplies, Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas Stockings and Toys, and Friday Night Youth program. Through the help of supportive donors, this ministry was able to purchase an adjoining building called ‘The Gatepost” and young people can come there and receive help with job skills and work in a food service program as well as participate in a teen worship center. They have plans for a Cyber-cafe. If you would tike to know more about this ministry or about the program for this Sunday, call the Washington Baptist Church Office at 540-675-3336.
