Benefit auction for Piedmont Softball Association Oct 27, located at Bi Payne Auctions in ArrassviNe.

Come out fof a day of antiques, crafts, and lots more! Outdoor mega-yard sale beginning at 10 am., indoor live auction beginning at 5 p.m. AH proceeds benefit the Piedmont Softball Association. PSA is a youth softball program for girls aged 5-18 and includes Rappahannock, Culpeper, Fauquier, and Warren counties. To donate your good, usable items contact Mauri Payne or Bill Payne at (540) 937-4142. (Please, no worn out furniture, appliances, tires, etc.) All auction items will be accepted starting Oct. 23 by appointment only.

Fterhaps you have already heard about the ghost that haunts the Civil War Graffiti House in Brandy Station. On Saturday; Oct 27, he wfl be joined by other souls vtfio win tefl ghost stories from a time when there was a War Between the States. Enjoy roasting marshmaHows and sipping hot cider around the campfire. Reservations are not required. Donations to support the Graffiti House are appreciated. In the event of rain, the campfire will be canceled; the ghost stories will stil be told. WHI be held at the Graffiti House located at 19484 Brandy Road in Brandy Station. Harvest Festival

Smokehouse Winery will be hokfing their annual festival this Saturday and Sunday from 1-6 p.m. each day. Enjoy their meades this wonderful fen weekend (traditional braggot, hearth cider) as you take in the scenery and sounds of Rappahannock. The red Schodhouse in SperryviHe is about to become a long-needed community center. On Sunday afternoon, Oct 28, from noon until 3 pm, the doors to The Rappahannock Link at The Schoolhouse win open. Tours of classrooms and information about their future uses, local musicians and artists performing, a video of many of our Rappahannock neighbors, and plenty of local, homegrown refreshments will be on-going through the afternoon. The theme for the open house is "imagine.' AH are encouraged to come to the open house and reflect back on the past of this buikfng and imagine its future.
