This is the time of year when there’s hardly time to stop and write a column! It seems like every weekend is jam-packed with things to do.
And, who’d want to waste a minute inside when you could be catching leaves as they fall, playing in piles of them or even dancing in the rain we finally got this past week!
Knowing that winter is just around the comer somehow lends autumn a sweetness that isn’t there in spring.
The beauty of spring seems a prelude to the endless days of summer. There’s plenty of time ahead to enjoy the outdoors.
Autumn days are short and I know before long HI be huddled inside by the fire, pining for a spot of color. So, before I head back outside, here’s what’s going on in Amissville this week!
“My Community”
The Amissville Girl Scout Troop 143 met on Monday evening at the Amissville United Methodist Church. The troop has a lot to celebrate these days as they’ve just won the highest level award that Junior Scouts can earn, the Bronze level.
They received the award for their project focusing on the theme “My Community.”
In order to win the prize they donated 15 hours of community service painting
