A Family Fest in Harmony Hollow is the theme for the May 17 grand opening of the Northern Virginia 4-H .Educational Center near Front Royal. Extension Agent Rap Owings said the festivities will begin at 2 p.m. with the ribbon cutting by Senator Harry Byrd, assisted by Dr. William Lavery, president of Virginia Tech, and Dr. William Van Dresser, Dean of the Extension Division.
The 4-H Center, built entirely through contributions, will be available for use by all citizens of Northern Virginia. Eventually there will be facilities for more than 600 at the : Center.
All citizens are invited to attend the opening ceremonies to see the exhibits of Extension-supported activities and to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Come to Front Royal and follow the signs to the 4-H Center, or call the Rappahannock Extension Office for specific directions to Harmony Hollow.
