Needlepoint covers chairs, hangs from the walls and cushions feet in the cottage. An immense rug done in bright orange and yellow squares and rectangles graces the living room, the result of two years of work. A second rug in green and blue stripes decorates the dining room floor. Like her watercolors, the needlepoint Mrs. Lucas created with her original designs is cheery, happy art.
