Of the 15 counties having the highest percentage of local funds in school budgets, seven have school boards appointed by boards of supervisors and eight have school boards appointed by trustee electors. At the other end of the scale, of the 15 counties spending the smallest percentage of local funds for school operations, seven have school boards appointed by the board of supervisors and eight have school boards appointed by electoral trustees.)

In my rushing last night to get to the Electroal Board meeting, I .failed to think through my remarks in support of Nancy Reeve for the school board.
I feel very remiss because I failed to preface my remarks with the following: My support of Nancy Reeve is in no way a vote against Allen Stokes. Allen Stokes has served the school board and people of Piedmont District faithfully and ably. He is a responsible citizen and business man. We are fortunate to have him in the county.
I lend my support to Nancy Reeve because she is a parent qualified and willing to serve on the school board representing the people of Piedmont District. The board is overloaded with members who have no children in the schools. There is more need of input from responsible parents.
