Adult and teenage volunteers are urgently needed to help as leaders for Rappahannock’s 4-H day camp, set this year for July 14-18 at the Hazel River campgrounds in Boston.

VP1 extension agent Nancy Secrist, camp organizer for the past three years, will be leaving her job here May 15. Since a replacement won’t be hired in time to plan camp activities, it is imperative that all arrangements be completed before her departure.

A meeting will be held in the Extension office in Washington at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13.

Anyone interested in helping with crafts, swimming. life guarding, archery, canoeing, nature studies, fishing, sewing, art, sports or other activities suited to day campers ages 8-13 is invited to the planning session.

A separate meeting will be held at the high school for teenagers interested in being junior leaders.

For further information, contact the Extension office at 675-3619.
