Hughes
Funeral services for James William Hughes of Washington were conducted Saturday at the Promise Land Baptist Church in Washington by the Rev. John Pendleton of Flint Hill. Burial was in the Hughes family cemetery.
Mr. Hughes, 90, died Wednesday, April 30, 1980, at the Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. He was a retired farmer and a native of Rappahannock County.
Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Maude Hicks of Hagerstown, Md. and Mrs. Mary Glasker of Philadelphia, Pa., and one nephew, James Oliver Johnson of Washington.
Revival
Revival services will be held at Thornton's Gap Regular Baptist Church near Sperryville May 12-16 at 7:30 each evening. The Rev. James Johnson of Vinton will be guest speaker. The public is invited to attend.
