JIM THORNTON and
Jack Taylor, both of
Sperryville, placed in the Little International Show (livestock) held at V.P.I. Taylor showed in the fat cattle class and Thornton in the Hereford heifers.
Col. and Mrs. B. F. Miller hosted a bridal dinner for members of the wedding party of the Rev. A. Paul Thompson and Miss Ann Braes Brown.
The month of April this year was without rain and after four weeks came a downpour.
At Sperryville School the F.F.A. and F.H.A. had a picnic and traveled to Hawksbill on a truck, and Jean Brown and Joan Brown had been chosen Queen and Maid of Honor respectively, of the May court.
