When does a church no longer classify as a church and fall instead into the category of campground?

Norma Langbein raised this question and others at Monday’s meeting of the Rappahannock supervisors. She came before the board to ask that the members attend Thursday’s 9 a.m. session of the Board of Zoning Appeals when the BZA will act on a special use permit application and variance request from Nationwide Pentecostal Evangelical Association.

Rev. L. D. Savage of Castleton has applied for the - permit and-or variance to provide food and overnight camping facilities on Route 622 "to accommodate worshipers who attend services in a seasonal camp.” The legal notice of the application does not include information on when the camp will be held.
