Summons

Funeral services for William Roger Summons of Canton, Ohio, were held Saturday at Promise Land Baptist Church near Washington conducted by the Rev. John Pendleton of Flint Hill. Burial was in the family cemetery.

Mr. Summons, SS, died Friday, April 25, 1980, in a Canton hospital. A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late John Robert and Edith Freeman Summons.

He is survived by two sons, Gerald Summons of Canton, Ohio, and Dwayne Summons of the U. S. Army, stationed in Louisiana; two sisters, Mrs. Edith J. Bridget and Mrs. Ora L. Roy, both of Alexandria; two brothers, Howard Summons and John M. Summons, both of Canton, Ohio; and a grandchild.
