“I used to be known as that old woman who swims. Now I’ll be known as that old woman who paints,” Mrs. Lucas chuckled.
Needlepoint Artist
She first began creating works of art years ago but in another medium. On the walls of her cottage hang elaborate masterpieces, award winners from prestigious needlepoint shows held annually at Woodlawn Plantation.
