Costello Fundraiser Planned

According to the release,-the supper psKy will be "a major dfort onr " Sw pvt of the Committee to raise ftmds lor Costello’s campaign.” The ftmoraiser is scheduled to take place at Panorama Lodge, located near the entrance to Skyline Drive. Guests are asked to make a contribution «f$60 per person, according to the release.

Spadal guests in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Costello will include John J. "Butch* Davies of Culpeper, who serves as 7th District Democratic chairman, and Delegate AJ Smith of Winchester.

The dinner is one of many fandraising parties to take place throughout the district to help finance the Costello campaign. Supporters interested in the Rappahannock fundraiser can call Canon Johnson at 9679710 or Jamee Swindler at 987-8761, both committee members who are organising the event.

• Guest Picnic Open To Public

Rock HOI Farm, 2,000-acre home of Delegate Raymond "Andy” Guest, will be the site October 13 for a meet-the-candidates picnic, according to a press release issued by Delegate Guest. The festivities are scheduled to occur between 3 and 7 p.m.

According to the release, the event is in honor of President Reagan, Vice President Bush, Senator John Warner (R) and 7th District candidate for Congress, French Slaughter (R). Other guests will include former Senator Harry F. Byrd, former Governor Mills Godwin, Congressman J. Kenneth Robinson and Delegate Kenneth Rollins.

Bluegrass music, barbershop quartets, antique automobiles, hot-air balloons, food and refreshments are among the activities planned. Tickets are $6; children 12 and under will be admitted free. Tickets will be available at the gate or in advance at county headquarters of all 7th District Virginia Republican Women’s Clubs.
