“There was no defense on our part tonight, and we have to work on that,” said Coach Greg Waters after the game. “Strasburg has taller girls than we do, and without defense they can score almost at will.”
Waters sees improvement in his team, though, and he thinks that the team could still make it to the championship game. “If we can pull a win over Clarke County, and play close to the other teams then we can be in the championship,” Waters said.
The teams’ next home games will be against Stonewall on October 2.
