In an interview after the event Terry remained noncommittal about her intentions for next year.
“This (the ftind-raiser) represented an opportunity,” she said, “for me to bring friends and supporters from this area together with friends and supporters from around the state, to give them an opportunity to meet and get to know each other, and to develop some money by which we can explore the possibility of my running for attorney general in 1966.
“I've been very pleased with the response I’ve been getting,” she added, “and tonight, obviously, was a very affirming event for me.”
This affirmed, it appears that her formal declaration of candidacy will follow in due course.
