• “Half truths have created misconceptions.” This is a good one, for on Auguk 2, the Rappahannock Newt printed the call for a public hearing, called it a “comprehensive amendment to the 1973 ordinance.” This is in feet a slightly revised 1961 Fauquier County ordinance and Mr. Miller’s earlier statement substantiates this, making them the spreaders of untruths.
I feel the other untruths are hoaxes that came from the same source, and Mr. Miller and Mr. Heddleston both have typed copy of the Rappahannock Public Action Committee goals.
It is obvious even to a novice that the Planning Commission has worked mon in the last two work sessions on this draft than in all the three years it took to compile it.
In dasing, I would like to thank Mr. Miller for his stand on the church issue, for in three meetings, he has brought out that he feels churches should be allowed by right with the necessary Virginia Department of Highways’ entrance permit, an approved septic system, and conformance to the building code. The other commissioners would do wefl to follow suit—for on this point J. Newbill Miller is the wisest man on the Planning Commission.
