"The honor of being chosen is intensified when you realize that I am one of a few chefs chosen, and that it is the first time it has been done,” said O’Connell.
The "Who’s Who” awards will be presented to the 50 honorees at a party held at the Abigail Adams Smith museum in New York City on November 1.
In the next few months, the Inn will receive more attention. Some of O’Connell’s recipes will appear in a book of recipes written by New York Times restaurant critic Marian Burros. Another book, Cooking With the Best, by USA Today’s Ellen Brown, will include 10 of O’Connell’s recipes.
