Microwave Workshop
A microwave workshop will be held at the Rappahannock County High School on six consecutive Wednesday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. starting October 17 and ending November 14. Everything from basics to converting conventional recipes to microwave recipes will be covered. A small fee to cover the cost of materials used will be charged at each meeting but will be kept to a minimum.
Pre-registration is required so call the Extension office at 675-3619 now to add your name to the list. This program is open to all people regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, handicap or political affiliation, so everyone is invited. .
Craft Fair At Gallery
The Christmas Gallery will hold its seventh annual "Peak of Color” craft fair on October 20 and 21 from 10 to 5 p.m. at Gainesville. Crafters interested in reserving space are urged to call 754-9672 between 10a.m. and 5 p.m.
Computer Classes Offered
The Community Arts Program of Shenandoah College and Conservatory is offering computer classes for children and adults. Educational specialists from Computer Solutions will teach the Hawses at the firm’s educational center located in Delco Plaza, Route 50, east in Winchester.
A maximum of 15 students is allowed in each class, which will operate for ten consecutive weeks, starting the first we4k of October.

Mathematics Contest Scheduled
Lord Fairfax Community College in conjunction with the Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics and Virginia Commonwealth University will host a Mathematics contest on Saturday, November 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The contest is open to students in public or private schools who are taking mathematics above the level of Algebra 1. For further information call the college at 869-1120.
