The Flint Hill United Methodist Church held their homeocming services on Sunday with Dr. Joe Carson, District Superintendent of Charlottesville delivering the message. A covered dish dinner was served at the fire hall following the service.
The charge conference met in the afternoon back at the church with Dr. Carson presiding over the meeting. This was the last conference that Dr. Carson will have on the Rappahannock Charge as he will be leaving in June. Each church on the charge was present at the meeting with members there from SperryviUe, Willis Chapel and Flint Hill.
Mrs. Nellie Pritchett of Front Royal has been spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. Moffett Brady. She was accompanied to the Brady home on Sunday by her daughter, Mrs. Edna Scott.
Bobby Smoot of Culpeper was a Saturday guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.O.Smoot.
Mr. and Mrs. Claude Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Gavor Foster visited Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Spence and Sara of Harrisonburg spent the weekend with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lee. Sunday visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Grove of Front Royal.
Visitors last Tuesday of Miss Sallie Lillard were Mrs. Agnes Chadwell of Alexandria, Mrs. Helen Lineweaver of Front Royal and Ernest Lillard of Washington.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Welch spent the weekend at Norfolk as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lynwood Pullen and Mr. and Mrs. Stan Sadowaski.
David Lillard of Pennsylvania was a Sunday overnight guest of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carson Lillard. He had attended a class reunion at Ferrum Junior College in Ferrum.
Warren Presgraves returned to his home on Monday after being a patient at Warren Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Mary Martin of Front Royal who has been spending some time with her sister, Sirs. Presgraves returned to her home on Monday.
