Then, too, it is possible that some who contributed to the Terry fund-raiser did so to cover their flanks by giving financial support to the candidates of both parties. At Stoneleigh, for example, interests supporting the controversial coal slurry pipeline were, well represented. Thg.oggarifers of the event, . insist,that there were no split,, loyalties present; that the guests were true-blue, all-out Terry supporters.
Some even wait so far as to speculate that if Terry wins the race for attorney general next year, she will be in a “first rate” position to run for governor in 1969 and, again, would have much of the coalition’s support.
