On Friday, October 5, The Singing Word will be “ministering in song” at the Gay Street Theatre. The gospel singing group of four women and two men is affiliated with the Robert Dunphy Ministry and the Family Worship Center, based in the Old School House in Washington.
The Singing Word does in fact sing God’s word—the pieces they perform are scripture set to music. The songs and happy and lively, and “ftin to sing,” says Bobbi Taylor, a member of the group. “They make a joyful noise unto the Lord!”
