The supervisors’ action of two weeks ago to remove the dumpsters at Slate Mills and Chester Gap ‘ won’t extend the life of the landfill any,” Mr. Forman said. The landfill has sufficient capacity to handle solid waste “until the end of June and that’s it,” said Mr. Forman.
He noted that he has not yet been asked to evaluate a new site and repeated that approval of a new location for a landfill will take at least six mouths and possibly as long as a year.
