He is survived by his wife, Sally Irene Waters of Culpeper, a daughter Patricia Waters Bankhead of Culpeper, three grandchildren, a sister Mrs. R. M. Tardiff of Culpeper, and a stepson James H. Chapman of Roanoke.
Funeral services were conducted May 4 at Culpeper United Methodist Church by Rev. Marvin Cook. Interment was at Culpeper Masonic Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Andrew Lee Curtis Jr., John E. Perryman, John E. Perryman Jr., William Earl Peyton, Alan W. Smith and David E. Timmons.
Honorary pallbearers were Henry Martin Snead, Scott Yancey, T. I. Martin Jr., Adm. A. Jackson Jr., Giles H. Miller Jr. and F. D. Griffith.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Culpeper Rescue Squad or Hospice of the Rapidan. -
