The fundraising effort which raised the $260,000 necessary to purchase the five-acre plot and erect the building “is an ongoing thing,” Ms. T^uss said. Already in the works is a fundraising project to purchase additional playground equipment, “and there are always things which wear out and need to be replaced.”
Asked about the children’s reaction to the move, Ms. Tauss said, “They are excited. They will need patience with the adjustment, but they’re familiar with the furnishings, the building is the only change.” She added that the staff is also excited and happy to finally move into the new center. Tuesday was the first day of classes in the new building.
