Access for all citizens
To the editor:
We believe that the public facilities of Rappahannock County should be available to all of its citizens. While we certainly respect the architectural and historical integrity of our beautiful old buildings, we are deeply concerned that everyone be able to use them for their intended purpose, comfortably and with dignity.
Therefore, we strongly urge that the county comply with both the spirit and the letter of the federal law by installing ramps and elevators in our public buildings when renovations are planned and executed, thereby making them accessable to everyone.
