\ Pursuant to Section 15.1-431 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, > as amended, and Article 17 of the Rappahannock County Zoning > Ordinance, 1973, notice is hereby given that on May 21, 1986 at > 7:30 o’clock P.M. the Rappahannock County Planning Commis> sion and the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will , hold a joint public hearing at the Courthouse Building in the Town ( of Washington, Virginia to consider amendments to Article 2, Section 2-1-1 and 2-5-2(2) of the 1973 Rappahannock County Zoning ' Ordinance. The proposed amendments would (1) amend Section ' 2-1-1 to allow non-commercial kennels and animal shelters, in1 eluding county facilities, as a use permitted by right in Agriculture ’ Districts and (2) amend Section 2-5-2(2) to reduce rear yard set , backs to 50 feet.
Pursuant to Section 15.1-456 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, > as amended, notice is hereby given that on May 21, 1986 at 7:30 o’clock P.M the Rappahannock County Planning Commission and the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will hold a joint public hearing at the Courthouse Building in the Town of > Washington, to determine if the proposed location of the Rappahannock County Animal Shelter at the Old Scrabble School property is substantially in accordance with the 1980 Rappahannock County Comprehensive Plan.
Copies of the proposed amendments are on file at the office of the Clerk’s Office, Washington, Virginia and available for public inspection Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. All persons affected by these amendments may appear at this hearing to present their views
