Summer jobs

for youths

As summer approaches, the Piedmont Private Industry Council will be sponsoring the Summer Youth Employment Program, operated by the JobShop, Inc. The program provides eligible area youths with the opportunity for local employment

Priorit y for available jobs will be given to applicants between the ages of 16 and 2] who are planning to return to school in the fall. In addition, applicants must meet specific income guidelines in accordance with the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA). Another important requirement for participation in the pro gram is a sincere dcsir< to work.

A variety <<1 indoor and outside jobs is available, and participants are placed according to their interests, abilities and goals.
