A tentative budget for Rappahannock County of $1,111,740 was approved for publication and subsequent public hearing by the local Board of Supervisors. The action was taken at the May meeting held last Thursday. The budget, as proposed for the 1972-73 fiscal year, can be met with the present tax levy of $4.10 per $100 assessed value.

School’s annual Horse and Pony Show will be held Sunday, May 15, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Marshall 4-H grounds. The judge will be Mrs. Winnie Howland.
A Sing-Thing is scheduled for Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m. at the Amissville United Methodist Church. Several churches will be involved and the public is cordially invited to attend.
