RE-LISTING

YOUR HOUSE

The listing agreement with your real estate agent is about to expire and the house has not sold. What to do? Should you re-list with the agent ? Change agents? Change the type of listing? This is the time to consider not only these, but other questions even more fundamental to sale prospfects.

Market conditions. Has the real estate market in your area been stable during the listing period, or has it been soft with slow sales, been affected by a recession or by extraordinary unemployment?

House price. Is your house realistically priced? Compare the price with comparable property sales and in relation to the region’s economic climate.

Property condition. Consider the price in relation to age of the house, states of repair and upkeep of house and grounds.

Now, discuss each item in detail with your agent.
