Wallace Critzer was defeated in his effort to win re-election to his second term on the council. Mr. Critzer, a 50-year resident of the town, campaigned on a “no problems” platform. Also making a second, unsuccessful bid for a seat on the council was Reinhardt Lynch. Mr. Lynch, co-proprietor of The Inn at Little Washington, shared his fellow candidates’ concerns about preserving the rural character , of the community while still adapting constructively to “inevitable changes.”
Out of a total of 145 eligible voters, 84 residents took part in the election.
