girls should place in the District meet.
Jumping and placing in the high jump is Senior Elaine McCabe. Long jumpers Anna Hudson and Annette Fletcher have placed, while in the new event for girls, the triple jump, Anna and Gina Manwaring have been successful.
Middle distance runners Kathy Dodson, Elizabeth Jenkins, Donna Foster and Kelly Brown run the quarter and half and make up the mile relay team. Bonnie Grimsley runs distance for the Lady Panthers.
All the track athletes have been working hard to improve their scores for the big District meet to be held this Friday at Clarke County High School. Rappahannock will enter two athletes in each event in hope of success by a number of competitors. The top six athletes in each event at the Bull Run District meet, which will consist of eight schools, will qualify for the Regionals to be held May 16.
