Movie: 'Winnie the Pooh'
Bring the kids to see "Winnie the Pooh" at The Theatre at Washington, Va. this Sunday, a special matinee time, 2 p.m.
A.A. Milne's beloved children's classic comes to life through the magic of Disney, with familiar characters Winnie, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo.
The film faithfully captures the whimsy of the original Pooh series and adds a special new dimension to the winsome, lovable, fictional bear. The movie features the voices of Sterling Holloway, Sebastian Cabot and Paul Winchell.
Also featured: "The Ugly Duckling."
Tickets are $3 for children and $4 for adults.
High school play scheduled
"The Slabtown District Convention," a play sponsored by the Julia E. Boddie Scholarship Committee, will be presented at Rappahannock High, 8 p.m. Saturday, April 25. The public is invited and tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children.
Sell-out crowd packs Theatre
Apparently movie lovers in Rappahannock want to see the RAAC Sunday movie series continue. The crowd for "Fried Green Tomatoes" filled The Theatre at Washington, Va. Sunday, and some had to be turned away. A second showing, Monday night, even attracted more than 40 people.
