More publicity and praise for inns, bed and breakfasts, restaurants and shops in Washington and its environs are included in a new guidebook entitled “Inn Spots and Special Places (New York & Mid-Atantic),” Wood Pond Press.
The comprehensive guide, the seventh such book published by Nancy Webster and Richard Woodworth, who visited the area in September 1991, includes an entire chapter on Washington as a tourist destination, calling it a bucolic hamlet “unscathed by development."
The lodging section includes lengthy and glowing reviews of The Inn at Little Wahington and the Bleu Rock Inn. Bed and breakfasts singled out for special attention and substantial write-ups include Sycamore Hill House & Gardens, Blue Knoll Farm and Caledonia Farm. Heritage House and Foster-Harris House are also mentioned.
