High school
tech students
compete

At the beginning of March, several students from the Rappahannock County High School chapter of the Technology Students Association attended the regional T.S.A. conference at Stafford Senior High in Fredericksburg.
The conference included contests including students’ knowledge and skill in technology from designing electronics to constructing aerodynamically efficient cars.
Many of the Rappahannock students returned with trophies certifying their achievements at the competitions.
Jesse Rogers won first place in the technical report writing contest. Jesse also got first place in the level one graphic design competition, which involves designing a logo for next year’s National T.S.A. conference.
Jesse’s brother, Tucker, returned home with a second place trophy for level two graphic design.
Clint Carlson won first place in materials and processes design with his wood and plastic checkerboard. Philip Smiley drew an effective poster to win third place in the safety illustration contest.
