the B&Bs were delighted with our success, and I for one will never forget the experience.

I wish the innkeepers well in their planned feast on April 26; however, let them not forget those who were instrumental in laying the groundwork for these present and future events.

Baseball

league thanks

To the Editor:

The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) would like to thank pll the people who volunteered their time to make this year’s registration a huge success.

Youth baseball in Rappahannock County continues to grow. This year we have had over 260 children register to play'and have formed 20 teams.

Baseball safety equipment, uniforms, field maintenance and insurance are all expensive and we can’t do it without the community’s support. If you are interested in being a sponsor there are still some teams available. Please contact Becky Putnam at 703-347-1128.

The RAA would like to send out a special thank you to Junior Fletcher of L.F. Fletcher Excavating Inc. Mr. Fletcher donated his equipment and hours of hard work to do some much-needed work to the playing fields in AmissviUe. It’s people like Mr. Fletcher who volunteer so much to keep our league going.

As a last note, if anyone stiU has uniforms please turn them in to Lydia Pentecost or drop them off at Hackley’s Store.
