OF THE WASHINGTON WATER
WORKS
In keeping with the National Primary Drinking Water Regulations, we are obliged to inform you that we are in violation of the federal regulations because drinking water being served to our customers by the Town of Washington, Water Works System was not correctly monitored for bacteriological quality during the month of June 1992.
One routine sample is required, and although a sample was taken it was not analyzed due to problems during shipment. Past records show that the system has no problems with bacteriological contamination; however, proper sampling is necessary every month in order to determine the quality of the water delivered to our customers.
